Thankfully, Northumberland is blessed with plenty of activities which don’t break the bank.

13. Learn at the Grace Darling Museum

14. Spend the day at Druridge Bay Country Park

15. Picnic at Carlisle Park in Morpeth
If the sun is out, why not visit Morpeth's Carlisle Park? You can have a picnic there, or take the family to the Pavilion for lunch. There's a paddling pool during the summer months, a giant play park and plenty of green space to explore. All free. Photo: nop
16. Explore Ingram Valley
