Motor racing champ checks into Jim Clark Room
The new Jim Clark Motorsport Museum is due to open in mid-July and, while work continues, Dario Franchitti, visited the premises to view progress.
The £1.65million museum - currently the Jim Clark Room - is a partnership between The Jim Clark Trust, Live Borders and Scottish Borders Council and future plans include a Jim Clark Tourist Trail in the Borders, limited edition artwork, a membership scheme, events and education programmes.
A spokesman said: “We’re delighted that 50 years on from the original Jim Clark Memorial Room, opened by Jim’s parents in 1969, we will soon be starting a new chapter in the story of Jim Clark.”
Dario Franchitti is a four times IndyCar champion and three times Indianapolis 500 winner.
