GB ‘honour' for Flint in World U21 Final
Berwick’s Leon Flint got his first taste of international speedway on Friday when he represented Great Britain in the World Team U21 Final at Manchester’s Belle Vue, his National League track.
Flint was named as a reserve in the five man GB squad, and he ended up with a silver medal as the team finished second on 33 points behind winners Poland (41), with Denmark in third (31) and Australia fourth (21).
Flint only got one ride and failed to score, but the experience was invaluable. Leading Brit was three times U21 British Champion Robert Lambert on 20.

Flint described it as ‘a great honour’ to be representing his country – hopefully for the first of many occasions.
