The Harrow, who moved over from the North Northumberland League last summer, were in control of the match at the Billendean throughout and led 3-0 at half-time, a further seven goals in the second half putting the seal on a fine season, finishing the league campaign unbeaten.

Meanwhile, it wasn’t such a good week for fellow Berwick side Tweedmouth Amateurs, who missed out on the chance of promotion from the B Division and then lost out to Langlee in the final of the Walls Cup.

In their final league game the Ammies lost 2-1 away to Newtown, which meant they finished third in the table behind league winners Langlee and runners-up Newtown.

On Friday Tweedmouth lined up against Langlee in the final of the Walls Cup at Greenlaw. They put up another battling performance but went down 3-2 as their opponents clinched a league and cup double.

The Five Arches side will now be hoping to gain some revenge over Langlee when they face them again this Saturday in the final of the Waddell Cup, which will also be played at Greenlaw.
