Looking back at Northumberland's own model village

The Morpeth-Wooler-Coldstream road brings with it any number of fascinating topographical and historical notes: the remains of The Goldsmith's Arms just south-west of the junction with the Alnwick Moor road; the Telford era by-passes to Whittingham and Glanton; the former abandoned petrol pumps, just after you have travelled north from Wooler.
