Youngsters at Longridge for cross-country

Eight schools took part in the annual U11 Inter-Schools Cross-Country on Monday at Longridge Towers School. With perfect conditions, 200 runners set off around Longridge's grounds.

Inter-Schools Cross-Country at Longridge

The girls’ team event was won by Dame Allan’s, in second was Belhaven Hill and third Longridge Towers School

The boys’ team event was won by Longridge Towers School, second Dame Allan’s and third Berwick Middle School.

A week earlier, younger pupils from Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 had taken part in a cross-country event at Longridge.
