Hoardings surrounding the controversial Kwik Save office development were changed two months after they were put up when it was finally realised that part of the script was talking about Alnwick, not Berwick.

The bill for the original hoardings was £11,585, but the cost of correcting them is still unknown.

The controversial development of offices on the former Kwik Save site continues to cause concern.

The most recent Employment Land And Premises Demand Study states that Berwick has an office vacancy rate of 28 per cent and that the ‘market is struggling to absorb oversupply’.
