Woman injured after falling through roof at Berwick pre-school

A woman has been flown to Newcastle RVI after being injured in a fall at Kiln Hill Pre-School in Tweedmouth.

An ambulance and air ambulance at Tweed Dock, Berwick.

The 45-year-old is believed to have sustained head, chest and pelvis injuries.

Emergency services were called at 12.18pm following a report of a woman having fallen approximately 25 feet through a roof.

She was immobilised and given pain relief by paramedics before being put on a stretcher into the back of an ambulance and taken the short distance to Tweed Dock where the Great North Air Ambulance was waiting to take her to hospital.

She was described as being in a serious but stable condition.
