Wired for sound at Berwick Library
A new, soundproof listening pod that offers a quiet space to sit and read has been based at Berwick Library in recent weeks. Four-year-old Aimee Wood, pictured, gave it a go with help from senior library assistant Tracey Rogers.
The pod, which is touring libraries across Northumberland, has been specifically designed for the library service and is a modern, versatile space with audio access. It is easily accessible and can comfortably seat two adults, or an adult with children. It has been funded by the Arts Council England.
