WATCH: Christmas lights switch-on in Berwick
Sparkling new Christmas lights on Berwick town hall's pillars have been officially switched on.
The switch-on was done by Mayor Brian Douglas with help from competition winner Lily, from Chirnside.
Christmas carols were sung on the town hall steps with support from Berwick Male Voice Choir and festive songs were played by the Northstar Centre's Shindiggers.
Earlier, a Christmas fair and coffee morning with lots of stalls took place in the Guildhall.
Coun Douglas thanked spectators for turning out, all those involved in putting on the day's events and those involved with the Christmas lights display.
The new lighting at the town hall has been funded by Berwick Town Council with Steven Monks doing the electrical work, with Berwick Rotary Club responsible for the Christmas tree on Marygate and the lights on the Scotsgate arch and Royal Tweed Bridge.
