Tweedmouth stalker set to be sentenced following conviction
Allan Bloomfield, 33, of Union Park Road in Tweedmouth, was convicted of stalking a local woman at a trial at Berwick Magistrates’ Court last month.
When magistrates reconvened to consider sentencing last Thursday, the court heard the defendant had followed her around the town and to her home address on several occasions between March and November last year, causing her serious distress.

In defence, Ian Wilson said the evidence was not the same as heard at the earlier trial. He said the stalking offences took place over a three week period, not six months.
He also revealed that an appeal had been lodged against the conviction.
Magistrates committed to the case to Newcastle Crown Court on March 1 and asked for pre-sentence reports to be prepared.
