Triathlon Club to host Three Bridges event

The Berwick-based Tweed Triathlon Club are once again hosting their Borders and Bridges Sprint Triathlon, which this year will be held on Sunday, September 4.

Berwick Triathlon.

The event will comprise of a 500m pool swim, in the Swan Leisure Centre at Tweedmouth. The first wave of swimmers will be flagged off at 8am.

This will be followed by a 21.6km bike ride and finally a 5.4km run.

The bike ride (via Paxton) will take in three bridges (including the A1 by-pass bridge, Canty’s Bridge and the Union Chain Bridge)and two border crossings before heading back to the Swan Centre for T2.

The run heads through Tweedmouth, over the Old Bridge to Berwick, where competitors will complete a lap of the famous Elizabethan Walls before retuning back over the Old Bridge to the finish line at the Swan Centre.
