Town a publishing hotspot
Berwick has among the largest number of self published authors in the North East, according to rankings released by Amazon.
The town is ranked ninth in a list of the region’s top independent publishing hospots, with Durham topping the list of authors per capita publishing their work through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing programme.
Whitby is second on the list, followed by Alnwick, Hartlepool, Bishop Auckland and Darlington.
