Tory candidate enters election race
Wendy Pattison has thrown her hat into the ring for the county-council elections and she has started her campaign to win the ward seat, currently held by Liberal Democrat Coun Kate Cairns.
Wendy, from Rock Village, said: “There will never be a better time to create change and to work hard for residents and communities within the Longhoughton division, ensuring that everyone gets a county council which will actually work for the people of north Northumberland and not just for communities located in the south-east of the county.”

She feels that infrastructure touches the life of every resident and she wants to improve delivery for everyone and get more out of existing assets.
Wendy also wants to initiate better partnership working with Northumbria Police, the fire service, transport providers and voluntary and community groups.
She added: “Meeting residents is a vital part of becoming a councillor and I want to support fully and represent my community by listening to what they have to say.”
