Tiny kittens having to be hand-reared
We had a sudden influx of very young kittens last week.
Currently 14 kittens are being hand-reared. We have received many donations of speciality milk, feeding bottles and other items for the kittens. Our thanks go to the staff who have taken some of them home and to Galedin Veterinary Nurses for helping us out.
Hand-rearing kittens is a huge commitment, but thanks to the dedication of many, these little ones should continue to do well and will be looking for homes in about five weeks’ time.
Meanwhile, our cattery has lots of lovely cats from three months up to around seven years old.
All the cats have huge potential to make very loving additions to homes. From farm environments to lap cats and other types in between, oriental to gorgeous moggies, slim to perhaps a few too many treats, all have one thing in common – they deserve loving homes and we will, with your support, find them.
Sometime life deals some cruel blows as mum and daughter Patterdale terriers know. Their owner passed away last week, leaving them with no one to take care of them. They are now with BARK. The sweet pair could be rehomed individually, but it might be nice to find them a home where they can continue their life together.
Tessa is a real golden oldie, a rough collie who received a good groom this week thanks to Claire at Wot-A-Clip. She is looking and feeling so much better. At nine years old she is a good age, but still loves walks. She is very sensitive to noise and a quieter home as an only pet will be best for her.
Alfie is a seven-year-old lurcher, who loves life and an ear rub. He has been intolerant of younger children so would suit an adult-only home. He walks well on a lead and will make a great companion.
Sadly, we still have lovely Archie. He is such a loving boy who just wants to be loved. Have you got the home he so deserves? You’ll not regret giving him the home he needs.
