Three north Northumberland holiday cottages 'among 50 best in the UK'
Three north Northumberland holiday cottages have been named as among the 50 best in the UK for summer 2016, according to a national newspaper.
The Pottergate Tower, in Alnwick, Sandhills, at Bamburgh, and 1-2 The Haven, in Beadnell, have made the list, which has been compiled by The Guardian and is a round up of 'the best coastal gems, rural retreats, architectural wonders and romantic hideaways for two – all with availability this summer'.
Sandhills has been listed in the Best Seaside Cottages category, The Pottergate Tower is included in the Romantic Cottages section and 1-2 The Haven is in the Cottages for Architecture Fans category.

Pottergate Tower: A listed three-storey medieval tower, Pottergate Tower has been converted into a luxurious retreat for two with stunning views of Alnwick Castle.
