Thieves steal tools, metal and bikes from Amble and Longhoughton gardens

Police are appealing for information after a spate of thefts in Amble, as well as one in Longhoughton, which could be connected.

All four incidents happened last Friday and thieves made off with a haul of items.

In Amble, thieves stole a £200 extendable aluminium door ramp and a claw hammer from a garden shed in Newburgh Street.

They also made off with a green Makita drill (£150), yellow Dewalt radio (£140), and a black angle grinder (£60) from a garden shed at Davis Drive.

A blue and white men’s mountain bike, worth £320, with a white rear mudguard, white front forks and 27.5-inch wheels, was taken from a garden on Leslie Drive.

In Longhoughton, a bike and scrap-metal were stolen from a garden at an address in Burnside.
