The Cookie Jar receives accolade

The Cookie Jar in Alnwick, an 11-bedroom former convent, has been named by The Sunday Times as the best place to stay in the north of England. It was the north region winner in the paper's list of the 100 best places to stay in the UK, describing it as: '˜Half a bowshot from Alnwick Castle, it exploits every nook and cranny of a former convent.'
