Teddy bear train at Heatherslaw.

The resident teddies will be working and having fun at the railway and invite visitors to come along and join in their adventures.

Whether you bring your own teddy or adopt one for the day, there’s plenty of fun to be had, with some free treats along the way for customers.

A bric-a- brac stall will be raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance too.

When you arrive at the railway and adopt a Teddy for the day, with your railway ticket you’ll be given a Teddy Passport to start your adventure. Take them for a ride on the train, a visit to Heatherslaw Cornmill and for lunch at Lavender Tearooms or Heatherslaw Tearoom. With your Teddy and passport you’ll be able to enjoy some free treats at these venues - and at the Cornmill don’t forget to ask the Miller to let Teddy enjoy an exciting ride on the sack hoist! Then at the end of the day take your Teddy and passport back to the Railway where you will say good-bye until the next time, and receive a free gift.
