Taking a well-earned rest

The White Watch from Morpeth Fire Station took a well earned rest at Holy Island 25 years ago on the first leg of their 70-mile charity walk of Northumberland's coastline.

The firemen, who trekked from Berwick to Seaton Sluice, raised around £1,000 for the Fire Service’s Benevolent fund and Newcastle General Hospital’s radiotherapy unit.
