Support services for new benefits system
Universal Credit Full Service is being rolled out by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) across Northumberland and the county council is working closely with local housing providers, Citizens Advice Northumberland, the DWP and other key local agencies to ensure residents receive any support and advice they need during this change.
Working age residents on existing means tested benefits and tax credits will only be affected if their circumstances change or they choose to make a new claim for Universal Credit.
