Sunshine draws the crowds in for a party
Hundreds of people enjoyed the Party on the Parade next to Berwick Barracks last weekend.
The event was a huge success, with the organisers already making plans for next year’s event.
The whole weekend was extremely popular and well attended, with Talent on the Parade and a performance by Scocha on Saturday, and Party on the Parade on Sunday.
The weather was brilliant yet again, with large numbers of visitors soaking up the sun.
Helen Tait, one of the organisers, said: “It has definitely become a regular event in people’s calendars, and the organisers Berwick Rotary Club and Bloodwise were delighted with the support over the two days.”
The event would not have been possible without the hard work of a small band of organisers, and a large number of volunteers on the day.
Financially, the generous support of the major sponsors, Tyne & Tweed Mortgage and Investment Services, Simpsons Malt, and Olympus Marquees was crucial.
The whole weekend was also supported by Greaves, West & Ayre, Sanderson, McCreath & Edney, and Fords the Bakers, and their help was invaluable in making Party on the Parade a fantastic success.
