Steam locomotive back on track

The last of the renowned Peppercorn A1 steam locomotives was scrapped in 1966, but the £3million No. 60163 Tornado, is bringing back memories of the past.

On Sunday, it worked the Auld Reekie Charter from Doncaster to Edinburgh on a tour promoted by The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust with UK Railtours and was pictured by Gareth Patterson on the border at Lamberton and crossing the Royal Border Bridge in Berwick.
