Berwick animal rescue kennels

We are lucky that the kennels are toastie warm in winter and in the summer they are lovely and cool and the dogs clearly appreciate it.

The turn-over of dogs at the moment is very quick and many of their paws hardly touch the ground before someone is offering them a lovely new home. Our website is kept up to date, but if you are not internet savvy feel free to give us a ring to find out what new animals we have in.

We were joined by two baby rats, very well handled, pretty and with super little personalities. If you feel you can offer Chase and Rolly a new home, please do give us a ring.

We have some lovely cats looking for homes, including several golden oldies.

Sadly, Cassie joined us and it became clear she is a very poorly girl. We are trying our best for her and keeping her comfortable, but she is never going to be well enough to go to a new home.

Bobby is a similar age and has spent the last two years in kennels waiting for his owner to get better. Sadly, that wasn’t to be so he has now come in for rehoming. He has an interesting personality and has certainly got character.

We have several ginger cats looking for homes, including females, along with a lovely white cat.

Another oldie is Axel, a rough-coated Jack Russell. He’s a lovely lad, full of life and just needs to find a retirement home with lots of activities to keep him fit.

We still have one lurcher puppy, Monty, looking to go to a new home. He’s a lovely lad, full of character and desperate to learn and love.

Our plant sale and open day is not long now, Saturday, May 26, at noon. The plants are beginning to arrive from Karen’s polytunnel. You are all in for a treat and the variety and quality is very high. Chris (otherwise known as the Blind Man) and Karen are huge supporters of BARK and donate everything needed to achieve such a fantastic fund-raiser.
