Spittal gets a defibrillator
Spittal now has a public access defibrillator, thanks to the efforts of Andrew Burn who raised funds during his year as president at Spittal Bowling Club.
He is pictured handing the defibrillator to Mayor of Berwick, Hazel Bettison, on Monday night. David Wilson, trustee of the Stephen Carey Fund, gave a demonstration of how to use it.
Cllr Bettison said: “Hopefully it will not have to be ever used, but it brings a lot of comfort knowing it is there at the ready if needed, more so with the state of our ambulance provision in Berwick.”
