Pupils at Holy Trinity First School have been learning how to play the steel pans.

Children, staff and parents belted out their tunes on the steel pans watched by an appreciative audience.

Headteacher Dawn Groves said: “The audience were great; it means a lot for the children to work so hard and be appreciated for what they have achieved.

“We are very grateful to our sponsors Simpsons Malt who gave us a very generous grant of £2,500.”

Pupils spent hours perfecting their tunes under the watchful eye of steel pans expert Wendy Doyle.
