So much support in so many varied ways
A massive thank you to everyone who has donated this last year to the kennels.
It is a tremendous achievement that your generosity allows us to help so many animals in need.
This becomes more evident at this time of year with an endless stream of gifts, food and financial donations for the animals at the kennels. The animals certainly won’t be short of special treats and gifts this Christmas.
The most touching donations we receive are from owners who have sadly lost their animals. To think of us at such a difficult time is so very kind. From beds to toys, to food, we hope that by putting those donations to good use it brings some comfort to those owners.
BARK relies heavily on your generosity across all areas, be it attending and supporting our events, making donations to our shop, publicity or volunteering, to name but a few.
It is quite inspiring looking back and seeing what you have helped us to achieve, and for that we are very, very thankful.
It is so refreshing to receive support from our younger supporters.
Oliver has spent the last few months (with the support of his Granny) making a variety of items, from pencil cases to egg cosies to cuddly toys, and lots of items in between. He recently had a stall at the Longridge Towers Christmas Fete and raised over £100, an amazing effort.
The publicity that Johnston Press gives us, and by default the animals, cannot have a price put on it. The exposure in the paper of the animals undoubtedly allows them to find homes quicker and to spread our name so we are in a position to help animals in need.
Although we are closed over the festive period, if you need us urgently please ring and leave a message, or send a message to our facebook page, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
It only remains, on behalf of all the animals, to wish you, your families and, of course, all our furry, feathery, and not so furry friends, the compliments of the season.
