Products made by the students such as bird feeders and wicker decorations were on sale and on display, along with information about the school.

It is intended to hold the showcase again next year, but to coincide with the Wednesday market day.

It formed part of a week-long programme of enterprising activities, including a visit to Newcastle University.

Money and donations are to go to the students’ choice of charities for 2016-2017.

Elsewhere, some Year 9 and 10 students did gardening around the school and drama students worked on a play with an anti-bullying message.

On Friday, the students watched a short movie put together by the Media Moguls team to showcase all of the students’ efforts and endeavours throughout the week.
