Show introduces garden awards

Bamburgh's annual village show took place in the Pavilion on Saturday.

Bamburgh Show 2017 Audrey Fitzsimmons was delighted her gingerbread won.

As well as the usual judging of the entries in the horticultural and industrial classes, there was additional excitement at this year’s show as the winners of the first Bamburgh Front Garden competition were revealed.

The best large front garden went to Brandling House, on Radcliffe Road, while best small front garden was awarded to 17 Front Street. 34 Castle Green, Front Street, took the title for the front garden with the best containers and Bamburgh Hall Farm won the front garden with attitude prize.
