Scooterists raise funds for the Legion

Representatives from the North Northumberland Royal British Legion and the local Poppy Appeal met Berwick Scooterists club at the town's war memorial this week to accept a cheque for more than £2,000 to honour those who paid the ultimate price and support those who continue to defend our country.

Representatives from the North Northumberland Royal British Legion and the local Poppy Appeal met with Berwick Scooterists club at the towns war memorial to accept a cheque for over £2,000 to honour those who paid the ultimate price and support those who continue to defend our country.

The Scooterists raised the staggering amount through a variety of fund-raising activites, including selling badges and taking part in a Remembrance Rideout in honour of the fallen on the Saturday before the centenary Armistice Day.
