Santa and his helpers arrive in Spittal

Santa descended on Spittal at the weekend and more than 250 children - and plenty of adults - came to see him.

He was at the old fishing shiel on Sandstell Road, superbly decorated for the occasion.

Funds raised will be put towards plans to convert the historic building into a cafe and bunkhouse.

Tania Arnold and Natalie Todd, event organisers, said: “It was wonderful to see such a fantastic building so full of life, let’s hope that was a glimpse of the future it could have. The feedback we’ve received has been incredibly positive and supportive and has made all those months of hard work well worth it.”
