Guest speaker Martha Andrews told Berwick Probus Club it would be about ‘our river’.

It will cover the area along its banks but also embrace towns like Hawick, Galashiels and Selkirk.

It is being led by the Tweed Forum and another major sponsor.

Research on its environment, history, fishing, culture, the mills, churches, abbeys, the reivers and much more has been carried out.
