Chris Hardie presents Berwick Rotary Club's large business of the year award to Jonny Short of Tustain Motors.

Jonny Scott, from Tustain, collected the award from Berwick Rotary Club’s outgoing president Chris Hardie, who said the well-deserved award recognised a firm that had come into the town with a difficult act to follow but which had stepped up to the mark admirably, producing considerable investment, employment and service to the town and its people and, even more admirably, a firm which was to be commended for its generous support of events and organisations via sponsorship.

The small firms award went to WR Skelly and Sons which established its family butchers’ business more than 250 years ago and is still going strong at its premises on Marygate.
