The attraction at the Aln Valley Railway (AVR), in Alnwick, has been shut after a considerable amount of water entered the museum.
This happened due to the roof being damaged in adverse weather.

‘This may take weeks, if not months. As a result, the museum will not be open or available for use in the near future.
‘The exhibits and displays have been moved out into places of safety. The carpet tiles have already been lifted and thrown away and the electrics have been turned off. Both rooms will need drying out thoroughly.’
