Pupils joined by horses, dogs and pigeons at service

Holy Trinity First School welcomed police horses, police dogs and even pigeons to their Circle of Peace service on Armistice Day.

The Berwick pupils have been learning about the important role animals played in the First World War and invited Northumbria Police to bring their horses and dogs.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were Deputy Chief Constable Winton Keenen, Berwick’s deputy mayor Gregah Roughead, Sheriff Brian Douglas and Sheriff’s Lady Grace Douglas. Pupils from Berwick Academy and Berwick Middle School also attended.
