Northumberland parish council postpone event due to lack of guidance on continued remote meetings

A parish council has postponed its next scheduled meeting due to uncertainty about rules.

North Sunderland Parish Council had been due to hold its next parish council meeting and Annual General Meeting on Monday, May 10.

However, permission to hold virtual meetings runs out on Friday, May 7.

Announcing the decision, North Sunderland Parish Council stated: ‘Due to current Covid restrictions and lack of guidance regarding continued remote meetings, it has been decided to delay the above meetings.

‘We hope to be able to hold both meetings on Monday, May 17 at The Hub, Seahouses Sports & Community Centre, Stone Close, Seahouses at 7pm – confirmation to follow.’
