Plenty of fun to be had at Tweedmouth Middle

Tweedmouth Middle School pupils were busy in the build-up to the Easter holidays.

Tweedmouth Middle School pupils at World Book Day.

The whole school walked down to Spittal Promenade to walk, jog or run a mile for Sport Relief.

Surprisingly, the weather stayed dry and, although pupils had to contend with mounds of sand, they all completed the mile.

Special mention must go to Adam Newton who was first to cross the finish line.

Pupils collected sponsors for the event and, as a school, they raised more than £1,200 for the charity.

Some of the Year 6 girls also sold Sport Relief balls and wristbands to raise even more money.

Pupils also had fun when they belatedly marked World Book Day which had previously been postponed due to snow.

There were some amazing costumes, most notably Darth Vader and Harry Potter which led to an epic confrontation in the school playground.

Year 5 pupils have also enjoyed a fantastic residential trip to Kingswood.
