Photography workshop for Border Links
The Border Links Photography Group had a fantastic visit to the Andy Howey Birds Of Prey Centre, based at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park.
Andy had a look at everyone’s cameras; helping each person to sort out which settings would be best to use and where they should stand to get the best photos. He even lent some members his own camera, which allowed real close-up photographs to be taken.
At first, a carved pumpkin was put out on display and some gorgeous mice were placed inside, giving members the chance to catch that elusive ‘perfect shot’ as they popped out of the carved eyes.
Some had a look around the birds of prey before moving onto a Christmas-themed photo-shoot. This time, a branch of berry-encrusted holly was placed ready for members to photograph.
The group loved it and say they will definitely be booking another visit soon; either to try more photography or to see the birds of prey flying display. They might even feel brave enough to meet the animals, reptiles and spiders up close!
They would like to say a huge thank-you to Andy, Juanita and Ben for such a special morning.
