Pets on parade at annual family event

We look forward to welcoming you to our 10th Annual Pet Show at Castlehills Farm, Castle Terrace, Berwick-upon-Tweed, on Sunday.

Thursday, 25th August 2016, 1:30 pm
Berwick animal rescue kennels

There is plenty of parking next to where the event will take place so please do drive all the way in and park on the field adjacent to the show ring.

The show opens at 10am, with the first classes being judged at noon, culminating in the Best in Show just before the close of the event at 4pm.

In the early afternoon there will be the Rescue Dog Parade, something that is always emotional seeing just how many animals you help find new and loving homes, as well as a game of musical sit for our canine attendees.

TRS Ribbons has very kindly donated all the rosettes for the show, including first to sixth and some special rosettes that will be awarded throughout the day.

Pets Direct are sponsoring the Pet Show this year and will also be having a stall.

There will be food and ice cream on sale throughout the day and a variety of stalls, including a BARK Shop Stall which will be selling a range of items, as well as some of our BARK-labelled products such as notepads, pens and mugs.

We will also have a raffle, tombola and a few side stalls, with a chance to throw the odd sponge or two at your favourite, or not so favourite person.

The Berwick Swan and Wildlife Trust and the PDSA will have stalls too so do go and check out the work they do.

Additionally, we will have a few stalls selling things we think you’ll be interested in.

We do hope you can join us.

At the kennels we have been joined by a few new dogs and cats this week.

Two 10-month-old collies joined us, Jess and Misty.

These two are very timid and have not been out on lead. We are working hard on building their confidence and one of our volunteers, Lawrence, has gone above and beyond to spend extra time with these two.

They are progressing well and we look forward to the day when they enjoy going out on a walk.
