Seahouses RNLI crew prepare for arrival of new lifeboat

Its coxswains have been undergoing extensive jet boat training at the RNLI’s Lifeboat College at Poole.
Back in Seahouses, shore crew have been training to use the new launching tractor and carriage.

Hide AdSeahouses Lifeboat operations manager Ian Clayton said: “Training is really in full swing now, for arrival of the new lifeboat on October 18.
"It is a proud and exciting time for us all at Seahouses, after various delays which were beyond our control, mainly due to harbour works and Covid.
"Everyone is looking forward to finally seeing the new high tech boat operational at Seahouses.”
It was first announced in November 2014 that Seahouses was to get a new all-weather lifeboat.
