The team at HospiceCare North Northumberland has been busier than ever during the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last few weeks the charity has been bowled over by the generosity of local people and businesses in our communities who have reached out to help and support.

One such kind gesture comes from Northumberland Estates, who adopted HospiceCare as their charity of the year in 2020 and have, in partnership with Turnbull’s of Alnwick, have commenced free daily ready meal deliveries to the HospiceCare nursing team and other front line staff in Alnwick.

Nina Burnett, HospiceCare’s clinical lead, said that the delivery of delicious fresh meals from Turnbull’s every day is a really kind gesture.

“It’s wonderful that our nursing team have a hot meal waiting for them whilst they are on duty,” she said. “It’s such a treat for us all.”
