The dating show involves a group of singletons living in a villa for eight weeks and in order to stay there, they must couple up. Among the singletons hoping to win the £50,000 first prize this year is 26-year-old Northumberland labourer Brad McClelland, a former pupil of Coquet High School and keen footballer.
Here’s a run-down of the contestants and their odds of winning, according to bookmakers Coral:
5. Hugo Hammond
ODDS: 4/1
The 24-year-old PE teacher from Hampshire is the show's first disabled contestant. He says he signed up to Love Island "to put himself back out there".
He added: "I’ve been single for a while now. With the current climate, it’s been really hard to get back into dating." Photo: ITV
6. Aaron Francis
ODDS: 5/1
Aaron (24) is a luxury events host from London, and has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Princess Eugenie and Beatrice. He says: "I need someone that is passionate about what they are doing – from scientist to anything – you can tell when someone is speaking about something and they are actually smiling while they are talking. I love that." Photo: ITV
7. Kaz Kamwi
ODDS: 5/1
Kaz is a 26-year-old fashion blogger from Essex and is hoping to come out of the villa in a relationship. She says: "Why not be in a place where people are looking for the same things as me? I’m fun, dramatic, spontaneous. Friendly as well. Light-hearted. Life is a party – I’m not the mum in the group, my friends are not looking at me to look after them!" Photo: ITV
8. Faye Winter
ODDS: 5/1
The 25-year-old lettings manager from Devon is hoping to meet someone she can go on holiday with. She says: "I’m open to anything. The opportunity came up so why wouldn’t I? I’d love to meet somebody, what better way to meet somebody than in the sun – amazing." Photo: ITV
