"It will be at the most poignant moment, the lighting of our candles at 6pm, when the Berwick bridge will be illuminated with our charity colour purple which will make our moment of shared reflection feel even more special.”
For those who wish, HospiceCare will also be posting a very special video of reflective poems, thoughts and music at 5.40pm on its Facebook page which will culminate in the lighting of candles followed by the streaming of the bridge illuminations.
Maxine Shell, HospiceCare’s family bereavement support coordinator, said: “We have all faced personal loss in some way this year whether this is a loved one’s death, missed anniversaries, lost time with relatives/friends that we have missed/been unable to visit, or simply the feeling of a lost year and worries of what’s to come.
