The Pease Bay award follows a series of changes in the Verdant Leisure group’s practices, including parks’ shops selling reusable plastic bags and the installation of water loggers. All efforts have been made to contribute to preserving the unspoiled sites of special scientific interest and wildlife reserves, that surround all nine of the bespoke holiday park operator’s leisure parks.

In April 2018, Verdant Leisure joined Green Tourism, and each park was awarded bronze status. By joining the Green Tourism scheme, Verdant Leisure pledged its commitment to work responsibly, ethically and sustainably to contribute to the community, by reducing its impact on the environment and be more accessible and inclusive to all visitors and staff.
