PCC hits back over refusal of co-option

She added: “The Commissioner is committed to delivering efficiency, effectiveness and improved public safety and being part of the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Authority would have helped further enhance this delivery for local residents. Tyne and Wear Fire Service has embraced this model and the Commissioner is fully involved in their work, it is regrettable that Northumberland County Council has chosen politics over delivery of enhancing further the work of Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service.”
