Anchor Hanover’s research revealed that 67 per cent of the public think a career in social care is undervalued by society.

We know the hugely positive impact carers have on the lives of the most vulnerable people in society, and how rewarding a career in care is.

To avoid an alarming shortfall of up to 1.1 million care workers by 2037, the Government must focus on encouraging the right people into this challenging and rewarding career.

But this recruitment drive must be coupled with sustainable funding solutions for the sector, which must be addressed in the much-delayed social care green paper.
