Questions over the figures
Mr P Watts gave 63million as the number of people who didn’t vote Leave in the 2016 referendum (Berwick Advertiser, March 7).
According to the Census, the total population of the UK was 63million in 2011.
Since 17.4 million people voted to leave in 2016, his figure can’t be right. This leaves me wondering if I can rely on any of the other statements he makes.
