Northumberland hosts Coast magazine photoshoot
Coast magazine paid a visit to north Northumberland last week when the magazine's photographer Jacob Little visited several iconic places for a '˜where to visit on a weekend' feature.
Among the places he visited were Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and the Longstone Lighthouse.
“It wasn’t the best day for photography” said George Shiel, owner of the Golden Gate, the only boat licensed to land on Longstone and tour the lighthouse.
He added: “It was quite choppy so we couldn’t land but just as we got to the lighthouse the sun broke through and Jacob got some wonderful shots.
“We were delighted to welcome Coast’s Jacob Little to Bamburgh,” said Claire Thorburn, of Impact PR, for the castle.
“Coast is such an iconic magazine that celebrates our rich and diverse coastline.”
She added: “It was wonderful to tell Jacob Bamburgh’s incredible history and show him some behind-the-scenes areas of the castle not usually open to the public to show why Bamburgh truly is the UK’s most impressive coastal fortress.
