Northumberland firefighters called to blaze at two houses

Firefighters from Amble and Pegwood were called to Grange View, Widdrington Station, shortly before 9pm on Tuesday, June 30 in response to a shed fire.
Northumbria Police, and representatives from Northern Powergrid also attended the scene.

Hide AdA spokeswoman for Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service confirmed that the blaze started in a shed, and spread to two houses.
Eight additional houses were evacuated for safety reasons, she added.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman told the Gazette: “Shortly after 9pm yesterday, police received a report of a house fire on Grange View, Widdrington.
“Emergency services attended and found that two houses were on fire after the fire had spread to the neighbouring house. No one was injured and the fire was extinguished.
“The fire is not believed to be suspicious.”
