No room for common sense

It would appear that the powers that be are more interested in a new leisure centre than a new infirmary and I'm not surprised. Building a 16-bed infirmary is a complete waste of time and taxpayers' money. It would be a joke if it wasn't so serious.

I am sure if it became known nationally, we would be the laughing stocks of the country. People would be saying, ‘Northumberland must be a rich county, when they can afford to throw £25million pounds away.’
